Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

QuoteNearby ("QuoteNearby," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online local SEO and lead-matching platform for home service businesses in the United States. We publish local service pages, and when a homeowner submits a quote request from one of those pages we deliver that request to the subscribing business whose service and area covers it.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit QuoteNearby, subscribe as a business, submit a homeowner quote request, or otherwise use our website and related services (the "Services").

Where consent is legally required for a particular activity, we request that consent separately at the point of collection.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use QuoteNearby.

A. Information from businesses (subscribers)

When you register a business account or subscribe, we collect:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • business name and business industry;
  • the services you want coverage for and the city, state, and service radius you serve;
  • billing and subscription information received from our payment processor, such as subscription status, plan price, and payment method brand and last four digits;
  • which service territories were assigned to you, and account activity such as page generation status.

B. Information from homeowners

When a homeowner submits a quote request through one of our pages, we collect:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • the service requested and the project details and answers you provide, which may include a ZIP code and notes about the job;
  • the page from which the request was submitted;
  • your consent to share your details with the matched provider, and the time you gave it.

C. Payment information

Subscribers provide a payment method to start a subscription after the free trial. Payment-card information is entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe, and is processed under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. QuoteNearby does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

We receive limited payment-related information from Stripe, such as subscription and payment status, transaction amount, card brand, last four digits, and billing status, so we can activate a subscription, apply the trial period, and handle billing questions.

D. Information collected automatically

When you use our Services, we and our service providers automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, date and time of visits, and cookie or similar identifiers.

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand how our pages are found. In particular:

  • the Meta Pixel is installed site-wide, which means Meta Platforms receives page-view and event information (including a page-view event on page loads and on client-side navigation, and a content-view event on certain pages) associated with your browser or device, and may use it for advertising measurement and audience building on Meta's platforms;
  • we use analytics and advertising measurement to understand traffic and campaign performance.

You can block or delete cookies and similar identifiers through your browser or device settings, and you can manage advertising preferences in your Meta account settings. Blocking them may affect some Service functionality.

E. Information from third parties

We receive information from third parties in connection with operating QuoteNearby, including our payment processor, our email delivery provider, our advertising and analytics providers, and our hosting and database infrastructure provider. We also research publicly available market data to decide which services and locations we publish.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate QuoteNearby;
  • build, publish, and maintain local SEO pages for subscribers;
  • receive homeowner quote requests and deliver them to the matching subscribing business;
  • determine which business is authorized to receive a request for a given service and area;
  • create and administer business accounts and subscriptions;
  • process payments, apply trials, and maintain billing records;
  • send lead notifications, receipts, account notices, and service communications;
  • respond to questions and support requests;
  • maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services;
  • detect fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents;
  • analyze traffic and usage;
  • comply with legal obligations; and
  • enforce our Terms of Service and other policies.

3. How Homeowner Quote Requests Are Shared

QuoteNearby publishes the service pages and routes the request; the independent provider performs the work. When you submit a quote request, the information in that request and the consent you gave are delivered to the single subscribing business whose service and area assignment covers your request.

We do not sell or resell homeowner inquiries to multiple competing businesses, and we do not share a request with every provider in a category.

If no participating business covers the service and area you requested, we tell you so and nothing is sent to any provider. Your request is not described as sent when it was not.

Businesses that receive lead information are independent third parties. They are responsible for their own use of that information and for their own compliance with applicable privacy, marketing, and communications laws.

4. Service Providers and Other Third Parties

We disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform services for us. These include:

  • our hosting, application, database, and file-storage infrastructure provider, which stores the records described in this policy on our behalf;
  • our payment processor, Stripe, which handles subscription payments and billing;
  • our email delivery provider, which sends lead notifications, quote confirmations, account notices, and platform emails;
  • our analytics and advertising measurement providers, including Meta (Meta Pixel) and Google (Google Search Console and site analytics);
  • market-data providers we use to research search demand, local population data, and business listings. These providers do not receive homeowner or subscriber personal information.

These providers access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for QuoteNearby and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of QuoteNearby or others, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

QuoteNearby's core service is delivering a homeowner's quote request to the relevant subscribing business. We do not sell personal information to unrelated third parties for inclusion in unrelated marketing lists.

Because the Meta Pixel is installed on our site, information about your visit may be shared with Meta for advertising measurement and audience building, which some laws treat as "sharing" for targeted advertising or as a "sale." Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, you may exercise it as described in Section 10.

6. Communications

Subscribers receive lead notifications, receipts, account notices, billing notifications, and operational communications relating to their subscription and pages. Homeowners receive a confirmation of their request and may be contacted by the matched provider about the work.

You can disable optional communications through account preferences or an unsubscribe mechanism. Transactional, security, billing, and legally required communications may still be sent.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use first-party and third-party cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. Your browser or device settings allow you to block or delete these, which may affect some Service functionality. You can also limit advertising measurement through your Meta account settings, and Google provides its own advertising and analytics controls.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • subscription, billing, and tax records are retained while the subscription is active and for the period required for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes after it ends;
  • homeowner quote requests and their delivery records are retained while needed to match the request, support the provider relationship, and resolve disputes or complaints about a lead;
  • pages, content, and marketing records are retained while the related market is published and for a reasonable period afterwards;
  • security, fraud, and abuse records are retained for as long as needed to protect the Services.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we delete it or anonymize it, subject to legal and operational requirements. Where we cannot delete a record immediately, we may restrict its use until deletion is possible.

9. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These include restricting access to homeowner lead records to authorized platform administrators, validating requests in our own backend before any record is created, and processing payments through a dedicated payment processor.

No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to know or access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Not every right applies to every person or every type of information.

To make a privacy request, email support@quotenearby.com with the request you are making. Include enough information for us to reasonably verify your identity and understand the request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Subscribers can also contact us to correct account, business, or service-area details, and can manage subscription and billing preferences with us or through Stripe.

If you are a homeowner and you want a provider who received your request to stop contacting you, tell that business directly as well as contacting us, since they control their own follow-up.

11. Children's Privacy

QuoteNearby is intended for businesses and homeowners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Third-Party Websites

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, including the authoritative sources we cite in our guides. This Privacy Policy applies only to QuoteNearby's own practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third parties before providing them with information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make changes, we update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use homeowner or subscriber information will be reflected here before they take effect.
